Due to the epidemic of coronavirus, measures worldwide are increasing with each passing day. Countries closed their borders to reduce the spread of the virus, while in Türkiye, certain age groups have been restricted. WhatsApp has made new decisions in communication to support the struggle within the scope of these restrictions. Previously, the company, which has prepared a special page to inform its users due to epidemic, decided to take an important step to prevent misinformation. In accordance with the decision, WhatsApp will prevent a message from being shared with more than one person tomorrow.
With this decision, WhatsApp users will now be sent to five or more messages. With this restriction, the aim is to reduce the speed of sending false information that will damage the fight against the virus.
WhatsApp could forward a message to 250 groups at a time until 2018, while this number was reduced to 20 and 5 in 2019.
